Matamata 'Panelworks Open Days' are a huge all day event ...
They happen every second year and the next one is coming up on Sunday March 25th 2012 ...
Basically, everything inside the compound is cars we have worked on. So it’s all to do with Matamata Panelworks and the work we’ve done over the past few years. Plus, the cars on the street from various car clubs we invite. They make it a club run and come over to Matamata for the day. Come over to check out our workshop to see what’s going on. Last year we had 500 hot-rods and muscle cars parked up down the street ... it’s unreal.
It is a very exciting day because car enthusiasts come from near and far to see all kinds of classic cars on display. The local media and radio station will be there too.
We literally throw our doors open wide so the general public can get to see what we do - and it only happens every two years!

So, if you're keen to spend the best part of the day with fellow petrol heads and a whole bunch of amazing classic cars, make your plans to come on down to Matamata on Sunday, 25 March 2012 and be prepared to have a ball!
There will also be good music and food and lots of car related stalls and stands. This year all proceeds raised from the sales of food and merchandise will go to Matamata Primary School. Last year we raised $3,000 towards new computers for the school this year.

Panelworks Open Day 2012 is going to be even more amazing because every time it is held it is bigger and better than the last one ...
Our first Open Day in 2005 started with just a handful of people building each time to just over 1000 in 2010. Let's make Open Day 2012 record-breaker. Plan now to come and see some incredible car restorations and talk cars all day!
